Hyaluronic Acid
Hyaluronic acid is a substance naturally found in the human body. It provides the skin with adequate hydration, elasticity, and firmness. It is one of the longest-used and most commonly utilized substances in aesthetic medicine, with a high safety profile confirmed by numerous studies.
Hyaluronic acid can be used to improve the hydration of the epidermis and the superficial layers of the skin – in this case, it is administered in its non-crosslinked form during needle mesotherapy.
Stabilized hyaluronic acid (Profhilo®, Skinboosters®, Viscoderm®) is used to improve skin quality (hydration, tension) and to smooth superficial wrinkles.
Crosslinked hyaluronic acid (filler) is used for volumetric corrections related to aging processes, disease, weight loss, or congenital asymmetries.
The most common indications are correction of the lip area, tear troughs, nasolabial folds, so-called marionette lines, chin, jawline, non-surgical nose correction, and volumetry.
The procedures are performed by a doctor.
