Tissue Stimulators
Injectable stimulating treatments are procedures aimed at encouraging the production of endogenous (the body’s own) collagen in the patient.
Collagen, along with elastin and hyaluronic acid, are the most important structural substances in the skin. Unfortunately, their synthesis decreases with age, causing the skin to become thinner, sagging, and dry.
Therapy using stimulating preparations aims to improve skin quality and typically involves 2-3 sessions, spaced about 4 weeks apart. The procedures are performed by doctors under local anesthesia and do not require recovery time.
The treatment can be applied to the face and any part of the body (neck, arms, abdomen, buttocks, thighs, knees).
The most commonly used preparations include: Sculptra® (L-polylactic acid), polynucleotides, Profhilo® (thermally stabilized hyaluronic acid), Skinboosters®, and Radiesse® (calcium hydroxyapatite).
